The reality is that many families can’t afford Christmas gifts and teenagers are often the ones forgotten this time of year.  Each year, churches, organizations and social service agencies host their holiday toy drives to help children of families in need.   And, each year a great deal of time and effort is spent collecting thousands of toys for less fortunate families across the Treasure Valley – to bring smiles and a little holiday cheer to as many children as donations will allow.  Since it is a little less challenging to shop for younger ages, many teens living in the Treasure Valley will not receive any gifts during the holiday season.  This year Hope for the Holidays, “A Time For Teens”  is collecting gifts for those ages 13 – 18.

We ask you to consider adding a teen to your Christmas shopping list this year in support of the annual “A Time for Teens” Hope for the Holidays campaign. The campaign is part of The Community Builder, Community Cares Program which – partners with organizations, agencies and local business in the Treasure Valley area to provide support services for disadvantaged individuals and families.

The Community Builder with your help hopes to brighten the holidays for many of these overlooked young people.   To assure every homeless and low income teenager doesn't feel they were left out of the holiday festivities and has a gift to open Christmas morning.
